AMKeny Textile.
This programs aims to promote the textiles value-chain optimization through industrial innovation, infrastructure and ecosystem efficiency. This includes building mutually enriching synergies among private sector organizations in the industry, enhancing public/private partnerships, capability building and market development. Advancing Made in Kenya (AMKeny), a program by CBiT that seeks to improve the quality, competitiveness and branding of Kenyan made products in the global market, while promoting value addition and championing development of these products. AMKeny employs a triple helix strategy to promote mutually enriching synergies between various industrial players, institutions of higher learning and public institutions in promoting an economy and society driven by innovation. CBiT is rolled out the AMKeny Textiles Program to the Textiles and Clothing Sector. In addition to enhancing participants’ business innovation skills and knowledge, the program aimed to promote industrial cohesion towards sustainable economic growth and development. The Branding Workshop targets the sector’s stakeholders and seeks to help develop national branding strategies and operationalize the Made in Kenya Brand Initiative to the Textiles and Clothing sector.
